It was a dark and stormy night; the rain fell in torrents — except at occasional intervals, when it was checked by a violent gust of wind which swept up the streets. Paul Clifford and Edward Bulwer evaluated their entertainment alternatives. The Lytton Pub was having karaoke night and Edward was a superior tenor. After considerable debate and reflecting upon the cold that Paul had been fighting all week, they turned to Netflix and their trusty Bonne O for indoor entertainment.
Their throats were parched and the weather inspired their beverage selection - a Sparkling Dark & Stormy. Paul grabbed a bottle of fine Caribbean dark rum and poured a generous half cup into the Bonne O bottle. He then topped the Bonne O bottle up with cold water to the rim. Meanwhile Edward half-filled the flavour chamber with Fiery Ginger Syrup from Liber & Co. and shook in 5 dashes of Fee Brothers Old Fashioned Aromatic Bitters. Then he topped the flavour chamber up with water and placed a carbonator in the carbonation chamber.
After closing up the system and pushing the button, the Bonne O bubbled away, sparkling their Dark & Stormy Cocktails. While the Bonne O toiled, Edward and Paul were free to scroll through the seemingly endless supply of Netflix entertainment. In the end, they sipped their Dark & Stormy Cocktails while watching Dark & Stormy, a thematically perfect, if somewhat campy, selection.
