It's sunny and spring colours are popping up everywhere! Weather like this deserves a fresh, natural, spring-tinted beverage. Our favourite right now is a Blackberry-Lime Sparkling Water. It's delicious, 100% healthy & natural and it has a hint of pink-purple to let you know how good it tastes.
The blackberries contribute a hint of sweetness and colour while the lime adds acidity and structure. Adding acidity to a sparkling beverage gives it a bright, fresh taste and adding real limes or lemon to your favourite berries is the natural way to do it. Together the berries & citrus create a refreshing spring sparkler that can be enjoyed anytime.
To create this Blackberry-Lime Sparkling Water, add a couple sliced blackberries and a couple segments of lime to the bottle. Then fill the bottle to the rim with cold water. Fill the flavour chamber with water and place a carbonator in the carbonation chamber.
Close up the system, press the button and sparkle! When it's done, remove the bottle and either open now or place in the refrigerator to chill and steep.
The bottle contents are under pressure when you remove it from the system, fully sealed until you are ready to enjoy it. To easily open the bottle, press the vent in the center of the top bottle cap to release some pressure. If you refrigerate, the berries and citrus remain sealed & under pressure in the bottle so the colours and flavours will become more intense the longer you wait. Enjoy!
