Delicious with Antioxidants & Vitamins: Cinnamon-Infused Orange Sparkler

It's January and you've been sticking to your resolutions with sparkling water and fruit infusions. The days are short and it's cold. You need a boost. Time for interesting & delicious with a side of vitamins & antioxidants. Pressure infusion seamlessly blends the rich taste of cinnamon with the tangy & sweet taste of real oranges.

First start with some oranges and create an orange syrup. It is the same process used earlier for the lemon syrup, except in this case we use half the sugar. It's January after all. Take the rind from one orange, two cups of water and one cup of sugar. Bring to boil then simmer for 15 minutes. Cool to room temperature (speed it up with ice cubes) and add the strained juice of 3 oranges. Makes around 4 cups of syrup and keeps for about 2 weeks in the refrigerator.

Now place the cinnamon stick or sticks in the bottle. A little bit of cinnamon goes a long way. I like two sticks for a powerful cinnamon punch. Fill the flavor chamber with the orange syrup (about 3/5 of a cup or 142ml). Place one carbonator in the carbonation chamber and push the button. If you like lava lamps you'll enjoy watching the syrup enter the bottle then burst and mix with the bubbles.

Then either store sealed in your refrigerator for later or open, pour and enjoy. The longer the pressurized beverage is stored, the more infused the cinnamon flavor will be. It is instantly fully infused but if you love a cinnamon kick, it gets even more powerful over time.

The taste of cinnamon and orange together are delicious. Plus you've got a boost of vitamins from oranges and the antioxidants from cinnamon and oranges. That's what January needed.
