With the growing popularity of sparkling water, there are a growing number of sparkling water brands and flavours available. Brands like Perrier, San Pellegrino, and La Croix offer modern and classic flavours that we all enjoy. You can create these tastes at home with real ingredients using your Bonne O!
In this recipe, we look at replicating Perrier-Lime. To match the lime taste, we tested various quantities of lime and found that 1/2 lime cut into 4 wedges leads to the closest taste. The more lime "surface" is exposed the more taste it will create when carbonating, which is why we went for thinner wedges.
Even though the flavour is labeled as "lime" only, it seems to also contain a hint of lemon, so we added 1/2 lemon to get the perfect match.
Finally, we used filtered water and 2 ice cubes to get a similar degree of carbonation (the cooler the water the more carbonated it will be) and unfiltered water can sometimes taste strange when carbonated. Once the lime wedges and lemon slice infuse during carbonation, you should get a taste exactly like Perrier-Lime.
Enjoy!
