Let this classic 'French 75' champagne cocktail sparkle up your New Years! The modern update is using your favourite chilled white wine to create it. The result is a bubbly, delicious & fun party cocktail!
The 'French 75' dates back to World War I. It was named after the 75mm French field guns used at the time. Depending upon the amount of gin you add, it is also said to have a kick like that artillery. Mon dieu!
It's easy to make using your Bonne O. Start by adding one bottle of refrigerator chilled white wine to your Bonne O Bottle. Next squeeze and strain the juice of half a lemon into the flavour chamber. Top up the flavour chamber with gin. Finally add a carbonator to the carbonation chamber.
Close up the system, press the button and sparkle!
To garnish your glasses, add a sugar cube to the bottom of the glass, a lemon twist and a maraschino cherry to the glass. If you don't have any sugar cubes, just add a couple teaspoons of sugar to the flavour chamber and stir to dissolve before sparkling. It's not necessary to garnish of course, but New Years deserves a bit of fancy!
Finally open, pour, add the garnishes and share! Happy New Years!
