To follow-up on our last recipe, where we made "Lime Sparkling Water Like Big Brands!", we decided to move on to grapefruit. La Croix offers a flavour that we enjoy and we thought we'd show you how to make it at home!
After some trial and error, we found that 1/4 of a grapefruit and 1 sweet orange wedge lead to the most similar taste. The orange adds some sweetness to balance the tart grapefruit. We also cut the peels off so that the fruits better infuse. The more "surface" is exposed the more taste the fruits will create when carbonating.
Finally, we used filtered water and 2 ice cubes to get a similar degree of carbonation. As a reminder, the cooler the water the more carbonated it will be.
Let the fruits infuse and enjoy!
- 1/4 Grapefruit
- 1/4 Orange
- Filtered Water
- 2 Ice cubes
- Add the ingredients to the bottle
- Add a carbonator & fill the flavour chamber with water
- Close up the system and press the button to sparkle & infuse!
